Kieron Berry, AKA 'K' or 'Ki' is the founding member of Bang Bang Firecracker.
Back in 2017, K had no intention of forming a band. He was soley focussed on recording the latest music he’d created. K decided to record two tracks with good friend Shaun Lowe of Prism Recording Studios and release a single with a high quality music video. The tracks received great feedback and so K began writing a full album. ‘Welcome To The Slaughterhouse’ was released in 2018.
What started out as an inspired solo project soon had Kieron and Marcus setting out on an 18 month journey to piece a real band together. After several line up changes they were joined by Ryan Assert on Guitar and Bobby Ansell on Drums. Momentum was quickly building for the band but Ryan didn't settle and left the band to pursue his passion for Punk. K, Marcus and Bobby sounded powerful together and they welcomed the clarity and freedom of their new line up. It was decided that this would be the defining live sound and so they forged ahead as a Power-Trio.
“After a two week tour in 2017 as a stand-in (Dep) guitar player for a quirky Operatic-Rock band, I found myself sharing a stage with Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P founder and guitarist). I grew up in awe of Chris and his fellow Hell Raisers. I found him to be intense as hell and he was constantly talking about all the new music he was creating. I started writing original music again very soon after this time – the ideas flowed, and I’ll forever be in debt to Chris Holmes for essentially kicking my Ass and inspiring a fresh start!” - K

You asked, we answered:
Q: Favourite BBF Track?
A: "G.F.Y. Because it was once stated by a reviewer as being a 'truly terrible song'. Its a PHAT Groovy Monster of a track to play live that everyone gets behind, ultimately proving that the critics don't always get it right!"
Q: Most memorable moment in BBF history?
A: "To date... Playing the mainstage at HRH 16, where Phil Campbell had played just 2 nights before us and Yngwie Malmsteen headlined later that night"
Q: Musical Inspiration?
A: "Fucking Hell, where to start...? I've always had a melting pot of influence. As a kid, one day I'd be listening to Exodus, Slayer and Anthrax. Whilst on the next day I'd be enjoying the likes of Shotgun Messiah, Roxx Gang and Slik Toxic.
Over the years I've also drawn inspiration from Motorhead, The Almighty, Ugly Kid Joe, Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons, Classic AC/DC and Life Sex & Death... "
Q: Post Gig drink of choice?
A: "A nice cold IPA chased with a Jack & Coke and a Shot of Fireball"
